I know I'm reading these all very later after your return home, but I did not want to rush it, and I'm glad I didn't. I love this Damon, this story in particular has me feeling the ice beneath my feet that were my iced prairies of Saskatoon while not even being able to begin to imagine the wonder and magic that you walked on, the connection you made to this land and it's rocks. Bien fait mon ami!

Grumlin--
I was told by a friend here in Chile that Pololo does indeed refer to a kind of bee, just not the kind in the Photo. Hence, the editor's disclaimer...

Thanks for the tip on the 3rd definition.

As far as I can tell, in Chile there are 3 meanings of "pololo"

1) Boyfriend (Girlfriend is "polola" :) )
2) The "bumblebee" that appears in the picture
3) A way to call an informal job, or temporary job, widely used by freelance construction workers.

Wow! What an adventure you two have been on. It looks and sounds amazing. I was reminded of my childhood as well because like you Damon I spent many hours playing on those amazing rocks. I especially liked the line "moss- farming" because Polly and I had a moss rock garden on the rock behind that sauna. We would collect moss from other rocks and lay it down, water it and then come back to see if it had attached. Ah home I miss it.

That is awesome! You could have sealed the deal if your shirt had a guy on it with a bus on his shirt. Still sweet however. :)

You make the AlphaSmart seem so wonderful which I'm sure it is. However I can't stop thinking about how when I was in middle school I could check them out from the school for a night to type a paper. AlphaSmart! hehehehe All smiles here when I heard my brother purchased himself one for Christmas! Fabulous!
